Meet Maria

Maria learned beading as a young girl and enjoys designing earrings and other jewelry. She enjoys meeting together twice a week with the Nakweni Sisters to create their hand beaded jewelry and accessories. Their is pride in sharing these beautiful Maasai creations!

This business is impactful for Maria and her seven children. It has helped her send the kids to school and she is hopeful for continuing support for secondary school. Maria has been able to purchase solar lights for her boma, as the village has no electricity. A goat has also been purchased for her family from the sales of earrings, necklaces and belts. We are grateful for Maria— she is kind, caring, determined and a master jewelry maker.
